The Battle Mountain High School baseball team went 3-1 over three days as part of the Pershing County Tournament.
The Longhorns routed Carlin this past Thursday in Battle Mountain to start the season. Battle Mountain split a pair of games on Friday in Lovelock, beating Pershing County 7-5 and losing to Sparks of the Northern 3A 4-1. Battle Mountain bounced back on Saturday to knock off Virginia City 11-6.
Battle Mountain is back home Friday to take on North Tahoe in the Northern 2A opener at 4 p.m. The Longhorns and Lakers will play a doubleheader on Saturday at 10 a.m. Battle Mountain goes back on the orad Tuesday to play Pershing County in a Northern 2A match-up at 4 p.m.
