McDermitt High School graduate Va Draunidalo finished her first year playing basketball at Feather River College in Quincy, Calif., with a couple of postseason awards.
The freshman played a key role in the most successful season since 1996 for the Golden Eagles.
Draunidalo averaged 14.7 points per game through conference play while shooting 43 percent from the field. Both numbers were among the best in the league and made her one of the most dominant shooters in the league.
As well as being awarded all-league honors, Draunidalo was also name the Freshman of the Year for the Golden Valley Conference.
MaShaylee Giles was also named All League, while averaging 12.8 points per game while shooting 50 percent from the field. Both freshmen look to continue their improvement in order to have a successful sophomore campaign.
