The Lowry High School golf team shook off the rust of the winter and held a preseason icebreaker tournament this past Friday at Winnemucca Municipal Golf Course. Elko and Spring Creek also made the short trip to play 18 holes before getting the regular season underway.
Each squad had a handful of players in the unofficial start to the season. The Northern 3A season got underway yesterday at the Arnold Palmer designed Dayton Valley Country Club in Dayton. The league makes the quick trip to Fernley on today (Wednesday). Lowry hosts the Northern 3A on Wednesday, March 15.
