Joyce Edna Purkapile of Lovelock passed away in her home February 20, 2017. She was 56 years old.
Born in Washington D.C on March 4, 1960. Joyce raised her family in lovelock since 1988. Joyce and husband Dennis resided in Missouri from 2004 to 2014. They then moved back to Lovelock.
She was preceded in death by her mother Helen Potter, father Vernon Smith, sister Denise J. Bragg, and niece Heather Dadant. She is survived by her husband Dennis Purkapile (Lovelock), siblings Thomas Potter (Virginia), Darlene Lawson (Virginia) her children Robert Allen (North Carolina), Jason Allen (Lovelock), Brian Allen (Reno), stepsons Eric Purkapile (Arkansas), Brent Purkapile, (Alabama). Her grandchildren Markie Allen (Minnesota), Robyn Allen (North Carolina), Aaliyah Allen (Lovelock). She is also survived by her great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Joyce Purkapile will be missed by so many of her family and friends. But we should all be comforted that she is now with her parents, her sister, her niece, and others loved ones who have passed along the way. All who she loved very much. Please let us remember her smile, her laugh, her heart of gold, and the love she showed all of us.
