Humboldt County Pets at the Pound

The following animals were recently picked up by Animal Control. More information on impounded dogs at the Sage Heights shelter is available by calling the shelter at 623-6403 or Sheriff’s Dispatch at 623-6429 and leaving a message, 24 hours a day. When calling, be prepared to provide the dog’s description, license number and general area in which it was lost.



June 21

A male liver and white German Short Hair Pointer was picked up on W. Thomas Canyon/Jackson. *Reclaimed



June 22

A black female German Shepherd mix was picked up on Aiken/5th. *Reclaimed



June 23

A female white and blue Pit mix was picked up on Old Tollhose & Delaney.

A male white and tan Rat Terrier mix was picked up on W. First St.



June 24

A black Lab was picked up on Water Canyon/Two Rock. *Reclaimed



June 25

A black and white Border Collie mix was taken to shelter.



June 26

A black and white Pit mix was picked up on 4th/Monroe.

A male red and white German Short Hair Pointer was picked up on 6th & Monroe.



June 27

A male black and tan German Shepherd was picked up on Haskell/Hanson.

A male chocolate Lab was picked up on Haskell/Hanson.





If you are looking for a canine friend to adopt, please call us at (775) 623-6403. Dogs are available for viewing every day from 8 a.m. — 4 p.m.

Licensing is a city and county ordinance. Please license your dog. This will help us get him back to you should he become lost.
