The Winnemucca 10-11-year-old Little League All-Stars will be hosting the District 3 Tournament starting on Thursday and running through Monday, July 3. . Ruby Mountain (Spring Creek) and Elko open the tournament on Thursday at 4:30 p.m. at the Little League Field by Bode Howard Pool.
White Pine and High Desert (Fernley) meet at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday,
The winner of that game will play Winnemucca on Friday at 4 p.m.
If Winnemucca wins its opening game, it will play the winner of Ruby Mountain and Elko on Saturday at 4 p.m. A loss sends Winnemucca to the losers bracket and a 6:30 p.m. start on Saturday.
The tournament runs all week with the championship game set for 4 a.m. on Monday, July 3. If needed, a second title game will take place at 6:30 p.m. on July 3.
The winner advances to the state tournament in Las Vegas.
