Racers take to the track in Sunday matinee at Winnemucca Regional Raceway

As temperatures rose to nearly 100 degrees on Sunday afternoon, racers from around the area took to the track at Winnemucca Regional Raceway in an attempt to tame the 1/3-mile oval. IMCA, Pure Stock, Mini Mods and Dwarf cars were all in action. The scariest moment from the day occured when Dwarf Car driver Domenick DeGrazia hit the wall coming out of turn four in a heat race and flipped down the front stretch multiple times. DeGrazia was OK after the crash and but could not continue to the main event. DeGrazia along with Michael Quilici took one green and checkered flag lap in the main event and shared the checkered flag at the end.
