Obituary: Brendan Robert Young

Brendan R. Young was 13 years old, a kid who loved life. He touched so many lives with his quick wit, contagious smile, goofy grin and amazing one of a kind laugh.

He loved sports (especially football, wrestling and baseball), riding his scooter, hunting, fishing and going for rides.

Brendan always saw the silver lining in everything. He was recently awarded, a silver lining award, by his teachers’, for making every situation better. He always found the good in people and was a great friend to many. He was one who always had your back, encouraging and uplifting, and to lend a helping hand.

He loved to volunteer and help people; serving at the senior center was one of his favorites. Brendan had so much love for people, especially to his family. He was such a mama’s boy with lots of kisses to give.

He loved to help his dad around the yard, and spend time with his brother and sisters. He was a really great kid that loved to do anything that he could get his hands on. He loved to learn new things, whether it was about vehicles, sports or anything in general.

He could make anyone smile, even if they were having a horrible day. He always knew the way to someone’s heart and happiness. Family and friends meant the most to him. He would do anything for anyone without a question. He was just the happiest and most uplifting kid.

He is survived by his mom Brenda Thomas (Adam), his dad Michael R Young (MeShell), sister (Menly R Young), brother (Brody R Young), sister (Michaela R Young), step brother (Brandon W Godin) and many aunts, uncles and cousins, as well as step grandparents.

Brendan had many friends who loved him and will miss him so much. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate your donation to a scholarship fund that is set up at Wells Fargo  It is called Brendan’s’ Silver Lining and the account number is 1408642518, the routing number is 321270742.
