Winnemucca 9-10 Little League All-Stars to face Walker River in District 3 Tournament

The Winnemucca 9-10-year-old Little League All-Stars are currently in Dayton for the District 3 Tournament that runs through July 1.

Along with Silverada (Dayton) and Winnemucca, Ruby Mountain (Spring Creek), Elko, Walker River (Yerington), Northeastern Little League and High Desert (Fernley) are also taking part in the tournament.

Winnemucca takes on Walker River today (Saturday) at noon.

Elko and Ruby Mountain and Northeast Little League and High Desert play in the other first-round games.

Silverada has a first-round bye and will play the winner of Ruby Mountain and Elko on Sunday at 10 a.m.

If Winnemucca defeats Walker River they will play the winner of High Desert and Northeast Little League at 1 p.m. on Sunday.

If Winnemucca loses, they will play on Sunday at 4 p.m.

The tournament runs all week with the championship game set for 10 a.m. on Saturday, July 1. If needed, a second title game will take place at 4 p.m. on July 1.

The winner advances to the state tournament.
