Richard William Larrabee, 70, Of Round Mountain, NV died on June 3, 2017 at Battle Mountain General Hospital.
Richard was born to John R. and Mary Eliza Larrabee in Provo, Utah on October 9, 1946. He spent a majority of his live in Utah before settling and making his home in Round Mountain some thirty years ago.
Richard proudly served his country In the United States Army. After returning to Utah he worked at the Geneva Steel Mill. He spent a short time working for IBP meats in Iowa. In Round Mountain he worked for Western States Mineral and Fairmon Supply.
He was an active member of the LDS church in Round Mountain, NV. Richard loved to go fishing and cutting firewood. The highlight of his life was his family.
Richard is survived by his children Tammi (Brian), Tom (Kim), Marty, Jay, Gibbs, Richard, Jr., Michael, Misty and Christopher Larrabee.; and his sisters Sara May Bame and Gay Davis. He had twenty one grand children and fifteen great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents James and Sara Larrabee; his parents John and Mary Larrabee; his brother John Larrabee; Sisters Mary Ann Keel and Norma Keel; his son Richard K. Larrabee and great grandchildren Abrianna Melseth, Annabell and Anastasia Tharp.
Funeral services will be Held at Sonoma Funeral Home in Winnemucca on Monday June 19, 2017. Viewing will start at 10:00am with funeral service to begin at 11;00 am. Burial will take place at the Winnemucca City Cemetery.
