The Winnemucca 11-12 Little League All-Stars were in Elko this past weekend for the eight-team District 3 Tournament.
Winnemucca met up with host Elko on Friday night and lost 11-10 in seven innings. Winnemucca led 7-1 during the contest, but Elko scored three times in the bottom of the sixth inning to tie the game at 7-7.
Winnemucca bounced back with three runs in the top of the seventh inning, only to see Elko win the contest with four runs in the bottom of the seventh inning. Winnemucca faced Walker River on Saturday morning and suffered a 8-0 loss to the Yerington squad.
