Joanie Mae Rhoades, 60, of Winnemucca, NV passed away peacefully in her sleep at home on June 24, 2017. She was born in Elmer, New Jersey to Eugene and Luverne Parrow on December 17 1956.
Joanie was a devoted wife and loved taking care of her family and her kitty cats. She enjoyed being a homemaker and creating a loving home. She enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting, and arrow head hunting. She also loved anything to do with her American Indian heritage. She enjoyed watching her favorite animals like eagles, wolves, deer, and elk and many others.
Joanie was a wonderful cook and baker. She would find something she enjoyed then come home and recreate it in her kitchen using her husband as her tester.
Joanie leaves behind her husband David Rhoades of Winnemucca NV, her sons Paul Allen and Jason Allen of Florida; her sisters Sandra Coburn of Edinburgh, Indiana, Joyce Parrow of Fallon, NV , and Linda Beers of upstate New York.
She was preceded in death by her brother Dicky Parrow, her sister Carol Dovall, her father Eugene Parrow, and her mother Luverne Parrow.
Arrangements are under the direction of Sonoma Funeral Home. There are no services planned at this time.
Joanie will be greatly missed by her husband and family. She will be remembered as a loyal and devoted wife.
