Leland Leroy York, 80 years old, of Winnemucca, NV died on June 29, 2017 at Renown in Reno Nevada.
Leland was born on July 28, 1936, in Winnemucca Nevada to Marion and Dorothy York. Lee was raised in Winnemucca. He graduated from Humboldt High School and Attended BYU in Utah. He married Robbie York.
He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. Lee worked for the railroad and in construction and mining industry. He was a member of the Church of Latter Day Saints. Lee had a love of the outdoors he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and mining, he love to dance take rides and listen to radio. He loved spending time in San Diego CA with his daughter Joyce Lee and granddaughter Corinne Lee.
He enjoyed family gatherings with all his children, and grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years Robbie York; his brother George Hapgood; his children Renae Dixon(RICK) Newark Ca, Lisa York Winnemucca NV, Linda Garrett Reno NV, Lane Slover (Krista), Kim Picetti (John) Fernley NV, Lori Dodson (Brett) Lakeview OR, Joyce Lee (AL) San Diego CA; his Grandchildren Corinne Terou , Jenna Grady, Lacy Dixon , Rachel Dixon, Cheyenne Dick , Natasha York, Dustin York, Ryan York, Quinn York, Tanner Slover, Travis Slover, Walker Slover, Michael Miller , Ty Miller, Donovan Slover , Jamie Clendening , Derek Beresford , Tessa Beresford , Robert Beresford Paul Picetti Colleen Picetti, Sasha Zarcher. He had 23 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. Leland was preceded in death by his parents Marion York, Dorothy Hapgood, sister Myrtle May Huckaba, brothers Orville York, Pat York, Bob Hapgood, Buster York, Daughter Leslie York, son Ricky Slover and grandson Matthew York.

Services for Leland will be held on Wednesday July 5, 2017at 10:00 am at the LDS church on McArther Ave in Winnemucca, NV with burial to follow at the Winnemucca Cemetery.
