Obituary: Jim Holland

Jim Holland was born in Tennessee on March 7, 1919. He lived in Vacaville CA and worked as a general contractor for his company for over 20 years.

He moved to Lovelock NV and worked on his 89 acre ranch for over 40 years before moving to Reno the last three years. He retired from the Navy and was a World War ll veteran.

While he was in the navy, he read several books about ranching and fell in love with the idea of being a rancher. He pursued that passion when he sold his business in California. Jim loved life and loved being a rancher.

He worked until he was in his late 80’s. Jim was 97 when he went home to be with Jesus on Jan 12th. His life quotes are as follows:

1. Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.

2. Do not knowingly take anything that you did not work hard for and that does not belong to you.

3. Always lead by doing things legally, morally and constitutionally.

He believed in God, and loved Jesus. He always said that God is good to him!
