As part of Winterfest activities last week, Tim Naveran was chosen as the 2017 honorary Buckaroo by the Lowry High School leadership class. Naveran, a 1984 graduate of Battle Mountain High School, moved to Winnemucca to open up his chiropractic practice with locations in Winnemucca and Battle Mountain. Naveran became an active member of the Winnemucca community, serving as the Winnemucca Little League president for a number of years, as well as coaching football, baseball, softball and basketball.
