The Battle Mountain High School girls basketball team was back in action this past weekend, after taking a couple weeks off for the Christmas break.

Battle Mountain traveled to West Wendover on Friday and lost 57-56 to the Wolverines in double overtime.

The Lady Longhorns closed out the tough road trip on Saturday afternoon with a 53-32 loss to White Pine in Ely. The Bobcats jumped out to a double-digit lead in the first quarter and maintained the advantage the rest of the way.

White Pine held a 27-13 advantage at halftime and slowly built on the gap in the final 16 minutes.

Battle Mountain (1-3 Northern 2A) traveled to Lovelock on Tuesday to play Pershing County. Results were not available at press time.

Battle Mountain hosts Yerington on Friday at 6 p.m. and Silver Stage on Saturday at 2 p.m.
