Born on October 10, 1980, Leslie came home to Lovelock and stayed all her 36 years.
She graduated with Honors from Pershing County High School in 1999 and received a BA degree in Graphic Design in 2003 from Collins College. Leslie was employed as an Instructional Aide at Lovelock Elementary School and just last spring saw her first group of young readers graduate 12 years later.
Her greatest gift is her daughter, Claire Olivia Brown. She is also survived by parents, Maury and Carol Nelsen; maternal grandfather, Arthur (Sandy) Fecht; uncles and aunts, Pamela Kilrain, David (Gala) Fecht, Katie (Bob) Burt, and Laura, (Dennis) Orr; many, many cousins and her beloved soul sister, Patricia Reeves.
Leslie left this world on February 5, 2017 suddenly as a result of the rare blood disorder TTP. In respect for her extremely private nature, a private family graveside service was held at Big Meadow Cemetery in Lovelock, Nevada.
