The new-look Battle Mountain High School boys soccer team made the short trip to Winnemucca last weekend for the Lowry Invitational. Battle Mountain took on host Lowry on Friday afternoon and lost 8-1. The Longhorns came back later in the day and dropped a 1-0 decision to league rival West Wendover. In bracket play on Saturday morning, Battle Mountain lost 4-2 to Churchill County. Battle Mountain hosted the Lowry JV on Tuesday and results were not available at press time. Battle Mountain travels to Ely this weekend to participate in the White Pine Invitational.
