The Battle Mountain High School JV football team dropped its season-opener to Lowry 44-14 on Friday night in Battle Mountain. Cody Ostler and Jordan Gonzalez scored touchdowns for the Longhorns. Battle Mountain returns to action on Friday, Sept. 8, against Lincoln County.
