The Battle Mountain High School girls soccer team opened its season this past weekend in Winnemucca at the Lowry Invitational.
The Lady Longhorns took on Lowry twice and Fernley during the two days of action. Battle Mountain hosted the Lowry JV on Tuesday and results were not available at press time. The Lady Longhorns travel to Ely this weekend to play in the White Pine Tournament.
