Local businesses are selling commemorative bracelet charms.

The project is officially known as the Charm Trail, and is designed to support local businesses by increasing said business’ foot traffic. The Charm Trail started in November 2016. As the project continues, more charms have been added.

Winnemucca’s Charm Trail bracelets can only be purchased at the “Trail Heads,” which are the Chamber of Commerce and the Humboldt Museum. The bracelets themselves cost $5 and come with either the Chamber of Commerce or Humboldt Museum charm, depending on where the bracelet was purchased. In addition, participants are given a “Trail Map,” a list of participating businesses.

Each charm costs $1.50. Participating businesses worked with Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Debbie Stone to come up with each charm’s design. The designs reflect the business — for example, Philips Home Furnishings uses furniture-like charms, and Humboldt County Library is represented by a book.

Charms can be purchased at the following locations. The list was taken from humboldtcountychamber.com/winnemuccas-charm-trail, where each business’ hours are listed as well.
