The saddle bronc event at the College National Finals Rodeo is certainly going to have a Winnemucca flair to it.
The National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association recently completed its Rocky Mountain Regional Finals, where three Winnemucca cowboys swept the top three spots.
Mitch Pollock claimed the top spot with 1,55 points to win the region title for a second straight year. Shaun Mentaberry finished second with 865 points and Luke Logan was third 840 points. All three cowboys got to school at College of Southern Idaho.
Logan is also fourth in the men’s all-around standings in the Rocky Mountain Region. He finished fourth in team roping as the header portion of the team.
The men’s team at College of Southern Idaho also won the team title with 6,055 points.
The College National Finals Rodeo takes place in Caper, Wyo., from June 9-17.
