Joshua Allen Silva pleaded guilty to basic speed and was fined $245. Silva additionally pleaded guilty to possession of drug paraphernalia and was sentenced to serve five days in jail.
April 6
Richard Wayne Battiest pleaded guilty to driving under the influence of intoxicating liquor, second offense. Battiest was fined $1,050, ordered to Victim Impact Panel, to complete a program of treatment for the abuse of alcohol, residential confinement for 25 days and a sentence to serve 55 days. Said jail time was suspended for 12 months under the condition that there be no violation of laws other than minor traffic offenses.
