The Battle Mountain High School baseball team continued its winning ways in the Northern 2A, with three victories in four games last week.

Battle Mountain bounced back in a big way this past weekend, winning three games over White Pine by a 37-2 margin.

The Longhorns dominated the first game of the doubleheader on Friday with a 15-0 win that saw them score 10 runs in the first inning. The contest ended in the fourth inning due to the NIAA 15-run mercy rule.

Battle Mountain pitching was dominant, allowing just one hit. The only other base runner for the Bobcats came on a walk.

The second game of the day was a scoreless fight for four innings, when Battle Mountain exploded for 10 runs in the bottom of the fifth inning to end the game on the mercy rule at 10-0.
