There are many activities for seniors at the Pleasant Senior Center, 1480 Lay St. The following is the schedule for Sept. 5 – 9:
Monday: Center closed for Labor Day
Tuesday: 10 a.m. Crafters, 10:30 a.m. Walmart, 11:45 a.m. Lunch Bingo 1 p.m. R.P.E.N. 1 p.m. Painting Class, Blood pressure check
Wednesday: 10 a.m. Exercise, 10:30 a.m. Khoury’s
Thursday: 10 a.m. Crafts, 10:30 a.m. Ridley’s, Library App. Class 10 a.m.
Friday: 10 a.m. Exercise with Rae, 1 p.m. Panguingue
Lunches are served each weekday at the Pleasant Senior Center, 1480 Lay St. Lunches are open to the public. Suggested minimum donation is $3 for seniors 60 years and older; $6 charge for persons under 60 years of age. The following is the menu for Sept. 5 – 9:
Monday: Center Closed
Tuesday: Hot dog, sauerkraut, tater tots, peaches, oatmeal cookie
Wednesday: Chili Verde, refried beans, Spanish rice, applesauce, jell-o cake
Thursday: BBQ chicken, potato salad, steamed spinach, fresh fruit, jell-o
Friday: Baked cod Cajun style, scalloped potatoes, Caribbean veggies, pineapple
