Obituary: Mary Procter

Mary Procter lovingly known at Duk, passed away on October 26th with her daughters, Pam, Johnna, and Bummer by her side. Born in Quincy, Massachusetts on May 6th 1936, the youngest of four. Duk made her way to Nevada at the age of 16. She lived in Tonopah, Austin, Wells and finally in 1979 made Battle Mountain her home where she worked and lived until 2004.

Duk then followed her youngest daughter, Bummer, to Fernley and then Sparks to be closer to her grandchildren. Mary is preceded in death by her mother, father, two sisters, her granddaughter Jggy, and her best friend Bonde. Duk is survived by her brother, Pete Procter of Jacksonville, Florida, son, Freddie Jolly of Austin, daughters; Cindy Jolly of Fallon, Pam Jewell of Dayton, Johnna Jewel of Republic, Washington, and Bummer Baker of Sparks, 13 grandchildren, and 12 great grandchildren.

Duk will be deeply missed. Her contagious smile, hilarious stories about her life, and the way she loved will be greatly missed and never forgotten. A memorial service will be held on November 5th at the Catholic Church Hall in Battle Mountain, at 3:00 p.m. A potluck luncheon to follow memorial services.
