Humboldt County Pets at the Pound

The following animals were recently picked up by animal control. More information on impounded dogs at the Sage Heights shelter is available by calling the shelter at (775) 623-6403 or Sheriff’s Dispatch at (775) 623-6429 and leaving a message, 24 hours a day. When calling, be prepared to provide the dog’s description, license number and general area in which it was lost.



Oct. 4

A female brindle Hound mix was picked up on McArthur. *Reclaimed

A male black Lab mix was picked up on W. Winnemucca Blvd. *Reclaimed

A female white and tan Border Collie mix was picked up on Highland Dr.



Oct. 6

A female black and white Catahoula mix was picked up on Middle Way.

A female tan and white Border Collie mix was picked up at French Ford Middle. *Reclaimed

A male gold Cocker Spaniel mix was picked dropped off at shelter by citizen. *Reclaimed

A male brown and tan Miniature Pincher mix was picked up on Parton/Melarkey.

A female red Pomeranian mix was picked up near the Winnemucca Grammar. *Reclaimed

A female black and white Border Collie mix was a surrender to shelter.

A female brown Chow mix was picked up on Grass Valley Rd. *Reclaimed

A male tan and white Am. Bulldog mix was picked up on Wmca Blvd/E. 2nd St.

A female chocolate Lab mix was picked up on Wmca Blvd./E. 2nd St.

A female white and gray Cockapoo was picked up on E. 2nd St. *Reclaimed

A female white and tan Papillon was picked up on Bridge St. *Reclaimed



Oct. 10

A female red Pit mix was picked up at the courthouse.



If you are looking for a canine friend to adopt, please call us at (775) 623-6403. Dogs are available for viewing every day from 8 a.m. — 4 p.m.

Licensing is a city and county ordinance. Please license your dog. This will help us get him back to you should he become lost.
