JoAnn H. Carlin passed away quietly on the evening of September 19th 2016. She was born JoAnn Hollingshead February 3rd 1957 in Ogden, Utah to Harry Phillip Hollingshead and Esther Irene Huffman Hollingshead Durfey. JoAnn is survived by her husband Tim (Horse) Carlin, three children Edward K Layton, Melissa Layton Sutake, Abby Layton Bodily, and 7 grandchildren. JoAnn moved to Winnemucca in the summer of 1989. She worked as a waitress, bartender, and an underground miner during her time in Winnemucca. JoAnn was known for her willingness to help people, her “good night moon” and her rapier wit. There will be a celebration of life in the Humboldt Room at the Winnemucca Inn in Winnemucca, Nevada on October 16th from 1-3pm. Friends and family are welcome to attend.
