Geraldine Mitchell (Jurleen Leftwich)
Daughter of James William Leftwich and Dorthy Lou Leftwich
Geraldine (83), peacefully passed away September 27, 2016, while in the Reno Renown Hospital, with loved ones at her bedside. Geraldine was born in Trammel, Virginia on Nov 11, 1932. She was married to Howard Bass Mitchell Jr. for 63 years until he passed in 2011. They had 6 sons and 2 daughters. Daughter, Elizabeth Craft (Larry), sons Howard Bass Mitchell III (Patricia; deceased), Patrick Henry Mitchell (deceased), daughter, Debra Sue Tonis, sons, James William Mitchell (deceased), Edward Allen Mitchell (Sophia), George Valentino Mitchell (Jeanie), and Joseph Lee Mitchell. She had thirteen grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren.
Geraldine will be remembered as a wonderful person who loved and cared for so many. Her presence could light up a room and her laugh was very contagious. She will be deeply missed.
A memorial service will be held October 8th, 2016 at 10:00 a.m., at the Methodist Church in Lovelock with a reception to follow at the Catholic Hall.
