Linda Meissner passed away on October 24th, 2016 after a lengthy illness.
She was born in Winnemucca, Nevada to T.C. and Ruth Bottoms. She moved to Lovelock as a young child and made it her home till her death.
Linda was a homemaker and was happiest when she could be of service to others. She loved the Lord and loved to study and to teach “The Word”, especially to young people. She taught Sabbath school at the Fallon Seventh Day Adventist Church, and Sunday School at Grace Methodist in Lovelock.
One of her greatest joys was delivering meals to homebound senior citizens. She would more often then not become involved in their lives, trying to bring hope, peace and making sure they were being taken care of. No one fought harder for an underdog than Linda.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her daughter Lissa Meissner-Cato. She is survived by her husband of 52 years Donald O. Meissner and two sons; Blaine (Nancy), and Bruce (Kellie), and sister Carole Calderon, three grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
In accordance with her wishes no services will be held.
