William (Bill) Jesse Fisher passed away unexpectedly on May 2, 2016 surrounded by his family.
William was born March 9, 1942 in Nevada City, California to Charles and Verna fisher. He had 2 brothers Charles and Dick and 3 sisters Grace, Virginia and Barbara.
Bill grew up in grass valley and Sacramento graduating from CSUS with a bachelors degree and teaching credentials.
Bill taught and coached for 26 years when retiring he moved back to his birth place Nevada City. Bill loved all outdoor activities but his true passion was golf. He was a member of N.C.C.C., Sons in Retirement, Elks.
Bill especially loved spending time with family and friends. Bill will be deeply missed by many including his great companion Chance.
He is survived by the love of his life Elizabeth and his 5 children, Vicky, Mary (Roger), Julie (Frank), Susie (John), Patrick (Summer); 12 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Bill only wanted a “celebration of life” and it will be held at 3 to 5 p.m., on June 18, at the Nevada County Country Club located 1040 E Main St. Grass Valley, CA 95945.
