Locals graduate from University of Nevada, Reno this weekend in the 2016 Spring Commencement.
During the University’s Commencement ceremonies this year, 2,114 bachelor degrees, 530 advanced-degree certificates (master’s and doctoral degrees) and 66 University of Nevada School of Medicine degrees were awarded. The University awarded 2,454 degrees last spring and has seen a 27 percent increase since 2010 due to increased enrollment and improved graduation rates.
Local graduates were:
• Nicole Hageman from the Division of Health Sciences with a Bachelor of Science
• Madeline Mitch from the College of Business with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration
• Pauline Salla from the Division of Health Sciences with a Bachelor of Social Work
• Stephanie Shelley from the College of Science with a Bachelor of Science in Mining Engineering
• Dean Vetter from the College of Business with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration
• Jessica Villareal from the College of Science with a Bachelor of Science
• Rayelle Cama from the College of Liberal Arts with a Bachelor of Arts
