Lowry High School’s prom is this Saturday, May 7 at the Winnemucca Convention Center east hall. The formal dance starts at 8 p.m. and ends at midnight. The prom photographer will start taking photos at 7:30. The list of rules and permitted attire for both boys and girls was listed on the prom brochure students received with their tickets. Rules for both conduct, modes of dancing which are not allowed, and both permitted and prohibited attire is quite specific and will be enforced, according to high school officials. Students who leave prom will not be allowed to return and no food or drink will be allowed to be taken into or out of the building.
The kids have paid $65 for couples tickets or $50 for a single ticket. The crowning of prom royalty is scheduled for 11:30. Students are required to show student ID at the door.
