Humboldt County Pets at the Pound

The following animals were recently picked up by animal control. More information on impounded dogs at the Sage Heights shelter is available by calling the shelter at (775) 623-6403 or Sheriff’s Dispatch at (775) 623-6429 and leaving a message, 24 hours a day. When calling, be prepared to provide the dog’s description, license number and general area in which it was lost.



March 16

A female red and white Husky mix was picked up on Grass Valley Rd. *Reclaimed

A tan and black Pekinese was picked up on Prairie Dog.



March 17

A male red and white Mastiff/Pit was picked up at French Ford. *Reclaimed



March 18

A female blue Staffordshire Terrier was surrendered to shelter.

A male tan Dachshund/Beagle was a citizen drop off.



March 19

A male brown and white hound was a citizen drop off. *Reclaimed

A black and white Border Collie was picked up on Allen Rd.

A male brown and white Pit mix was picked up on Hanson/Grass

Valley Rd.

A male brown and white Hound mix was picked up on Ballard. *Reclaimed

A female black and white Lab mix was picked up on Water Canyon. *Reclaimed

A female tri colored Spaniel mix was picked up on Water Canyon. *Reclaimed

A male brown and white Pit was a surrender to shelter.



March 21

A male black and white Pit was picked up on Grass Valley Rd. *Reclaimed

A female yellow Pomeranian was picked up on Airview.

Licensing is a city and county ordinance. Please license your dog. This will help us get him back to you should he become lost.
