The Winnemucca 11-12-year-old Little League All-Stars will be traveling to Battle Mountain this week for the District 3 Tournament.
Along with host Battle Mountain, Elko, Fernley, Silverada (Dayton), Ruby Mountain (Spring Creek), Hawthorne, Walker River (Yerington) and White Pine are also competing.
Winnemucca takes on Silverada at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday.
Elko and Fernley, Ruby Mountain and Hawthorne and Walker River and White Pine also play in the first round. Battle Mountain will face the winner of Elko and Fernley.
If Winnemucca defeats Silverada they will play the winner of Ruby Mountain and Hawthorne at 5:30 p.m. on Sunday.
If Winnemucca loses they will play on Sunday at 3 p.m.
The tournament runs all week with the championship game set for 9 a.m. on Friday, July 8. If needed, a second title game will take place at 6 p.m. on July 8..
The winner advances to the state tournament.
