Obituary: Kenneth Eugene Wolffe

Kenneth Eugene Wolffe, 69, died quietly on June 14, 2016 at his home of 24 years in Winnemucca.

Kenny was born July 17, 1946 in San Francisco, CA. to Eugene and Betty Kuntzweider Wolffe. He grew up in California and later moved to Winnemucca where he married and raised his two daughters but he never talked about his past and lived for the present.

Ken was a loyal hard working employee at Winners Hotel and Casino until his health would not allow him to work any longer. He loved going to and falling asleep at the Baptist Church. Ken enjoyed laughing and spending time with his daughters, Kendra and Amber, working and making his coworkers laugh. He loved taking his dog “Shilo” for walks down by the river, fishing and just being outside.

Ken had a total of fifteen children; unfortunately he was only able to raise the youngest two, Kendra of Winnemucca and Amber of Las Vegas. The only two others that the daughters were able to meet were Kevin Wolffe and Lilly Wolffe. He also had two grand children Anagtasia and Allyiah.

Kendra would like to first thank Mark Eisenbarth for all the love and support he gave me while I took care of my father and taking the time to check on him for me when I worried and couldn’t leave work. I want to thank my mom Debbie and her husband Rob D’Arezzo and my boss Michael Moore for helping with the bills neither of us could pay and just being there when we needed you.

She would like to thank Gill and Muriel Abbott for everything they have done for my dad, he really loved you guys, he just forgot to say it. I would also like to thank Winners Hotel and Casino and the entire staff for all their help and patience. Everyone there has been a huge part of our lives for a long time. Dad loved it there.

Our father was our Hero, he will be terribly missed.

A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Sonoma Funeral Home. 775-623-2986.
