Douglas Eyre Mickelson passed away on June 6th 2016 in Salt Lake City, Utah from complications due to congestive heart failure.
He was born in Cedar City, Utah on July 9th, 1939, to Frank and Garnetta Mickelson.
Doug was raised in Parowan, Utah and went to Parowan High School. He moved to Yerington, Nevada in 1962 to pursue a career in mining.
Doug worked at numerous mining properties in Idaho, Nevada and Utah throughout his extensive mining career.
He was preceded in death by his daughter Stacy LaRue and wife Rose Ann, his father, mother, and sisters Marlene Hinton and Lawana Tullis.
He is survived by his son Brett and his wife Lori as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
At Doug’s request, no services are being held. Interment will be in Yerington.
