Obituary: Ryan Eugene Alexander

The angels came and took Ryan Eugene Alexander on May 25, 2016. He now can spread his wings and fly, like the true angel he has always been from the day he arrived, August 10, 2012.

In his last hours, we sang to Ryan, prayed over him, held him, kissed him and placed him in the arms of Jesus. Now we feel a mix of relief and grief. Ryan’s in a place where there’s no more tears or sickness or suffering. We feel a deep sense of joy for our little boy and all that he’s experiencing now. But even as I say that, sadness fills my heart and spills out of my eyes. Our hearts hurt. Our first and only grandchild is no longer with us. I can’t begin to describe how it feels to lose him.

Ryan, as many of the folks in this community know touched the lives of everyone he came into contact with. He will be both missed and remembered by everyone he met. In his short life he spent much of his time teaching others the meaning of unconditional love and acceptance, as well as how to truly be humble. As I write this it is my hope that all remember the lessons he so easily taught. There is no greater gift than the gift of love and understanding.

Ryan was survived by; Great grandparents Dorothy Alexander, Elin Pedersen, Coleen & Lou Krichesky. Grandparents Vince & Cheryl Alexander and Vanda Alexander, his mother Kaitlyn Alexander, as well as multiple aunts & uncles, and cousins.
