In loving memory: February 3, 1983 — May 29, 2016
Rusty was taken by the creator at the young age of 33. He was born Feb. 3, 1983 to Rhonda Hicks and Lawson Steve.
He was an outgoing person and had a heart of gold. He loved going camping, fishing and just being outdoors. He loved being around family and friends. He was a hard worker and would do anything to help a friend in need.
Rusty got to travel to different places where he met lots of new people, but eventually made Battle Mountain his home.
He was blessed with three beautiful daughters who were his pride and joy, and did what he could to be the best loving father they could have.
He is preceded in death by his late Grandfather Wilford Hicks, Uncle Louie Hicks, Cousins Brandon “Deano” Arrates, and Dylan Charley. He is survived by good friend Sadie Lopez, Grandmothers Lorna Hicks, Florine Maine (Erickson), his Mom Rhonda Hicks (Lydell), Father Lawson Steve. Children Makiala, Cylance and Honesty (chubs) Hicks. Sisters Kaycee Garcia (Brett), Ashley Aldridge (Dakota), Danielle Aldridge (Eddie). Survived by numerous Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Nieces, Nephews and friends.
Traditional services were held June 4, 2016 at the old Indian Colony in Battle Mountain.
His ashes will be cast in a private family gathering at a later date. You will greatly be missed by many.
