Cynthia Buford passed away at her home Friday, July 8, 2016 with her family at her side after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
Cynthia (Cindy) Lee Kayler was born February 13, 1955 to Walter and Emma Kayler in Lackawanna NY. Cindy spent her adult life living in Battle Mountain and Elko, where she spent many years working as a waitress.
Cindy married Johnnie Gray and they later divorced.
Cindy married Larry Kaylor and together raised 2 children. They later divorced.
Cindy married Dave Buford and gained another daughter.
In addition to her husband Dave, Cindy is survived by daughters Dawn (James) Quintana, Elko, NV and Lisa Buford, Folsom, CA. Seven grandchildren, three brothers and one sister, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Cindy is preceded in death by her parents, one sister, and Larry Kaylor.
The family asks that donations be made in Cindy’s name to the Huntsman Cancer Institute, 2000 Circle of Hope Dr., Salt Lake City, UT 84112.
David Kaylor passed away unexpectedly at his home, Saturday July 9, 2016
David Joseph Kaylor was born December 8, 1975 to Larry and Cindy Kaylor in Winnemucca, NV. David grew up in Battle Mountain. Later he moved to Utah to live with his uncle, aunt and their family, for a number of years.
David was in the U.S. Navy (2000-2005) and the Utah Army National Guard (2005-2011). David served two tours in Iraq. David served his country honorably and with distinction.
The happiest day of David’s life was the day his son, David “Deuce” Kaylor was born.
David was a loving father, son, brother and uncle.
David is survived by his fiancée Genevieve Ward, his son, David Kaylor, Jr. sisters, Dawn (James) Quintana, Lisa Buford, five nieces and nephews and aunts, uncles and cousins, with whom he had a special bond.
David is preceded in death by his parents, Larry Kaylor and Cindy Buford.
Celebrations of Life Services were held Friday, July 15, 2016 at the Burns Funeral Home in Elko for Cynthia Buford and David Kaylor.
