Clorinda “Nito” George, 74, of Winnemucca joined her precious son and daughter in heaven on July 9, 2016. She was born June 18, 1942 in Schurz, Nevada to Everett Rodriguez and Aileen Pete-Dunn. Clorinda lived many places during her life, she lived in Escondido and San Francisco California and Lovelock, Nevada before making her home in Winnemucca for the past fifty one years.
Clorinda was a cashier at the Model T Casino for forty three years.
Our mom was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was preceded in death by her daughter Lodine Evette George, her son Gordon C. George, her mother Aileen O’Neill, her father Everett Rodriguez and her grandson Martin G. Miller.
She leaves behind her loving longtime companion Ray Holly, her sister Eileen Lutrell and brother Blaine O’Neill. Her three daughters Charlene Dressler, Toni George and Juanita George; grandchildren Keith Miller, Nicole Dressler, Summer Dressler, Everett George, Dwight George, Danielle Roman, Brandi Nez, Clay Burton, Rachel Wood and five great grandchildren.
Clorinda had a deep adoration for cats and dogs, but most of all our mom was the most generous and caring person you could know. She was always putting others before herself. Her family will greatly miss the best mom, grandmother and great-grandmother we could have ever asked for. Mom we will miss you and we love you with all our hearts.
A Rosary and viewing were held Wednesday July 13, 2016 at Sonoma Funeral Home 47 W First St in Winnemucca. On Thursday July 14, 2016 we celebrated Clorinda’s life with a Rosary and Mass at Saint Paul’s Catholic Church in Winnemucca. Burial took place at Big Meadow Cemetery in Lovelock, Nevada on Thursday afternoon. Arrangements were under the direction of Sonoma Funeral Home 775-623-2986.
