Age 72, passed away Tuesday the 28th in Reno, NV at St. Mary’s hospital surrounded by loved ones.
He was born on July 9th 1943 in Fort Collins Colorado to Alfonso and Estefana Lara Salazar. He lived in Round Mountain NV for 26.5 years coming from Casa Grande AZ.
Manuel was a “self-made man” whose profession was in the mining industry for well over 20 years, in which he retired from while in Nevada.
He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He is preceded in death by his wife Angie Alderete Salazar.
He is survived by his daughter Alice Salazar of Round Mountain; sons Lorenzo and Esteban of Winnemucca; daughter Sylvia of Winnemucca NV; son Alfonso of Cascade Idaho; son Joemanuel of Glendale, Arizona; daughter Rosemary Padilla of Sierra Vista, Arizona. Brothers Jesse Salazar; Joe Salazar; sister Mickey Parra; Lupe Ruiz; Angie Leeman; 26 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
Viewing will be Thursday July 7th 8:00 am to 10:00am at Smith Family Funeral Home in Fallon NV. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:30 AM, also on Thursday, at St. Patricks Church in Fallon with burial to follow in the Fallon Cemetery.
