Hallie Miranda Sheen was born Nov. 5, 1982 in Elko, Nevada to Joyce and Torrey Sheen. She joined a brother and two sisters at home.
She left earth life early Wednesday morning, January 20, alone in her home in Winnemucca. Well, not really alone, her beloved dog and four cats attended her passing. She was just 33.
The cause of her death is unknown at present. Results of a medical examination will not be known for some time.
She lived across a parking lot from her parents, and seldom went more than a day without seeing them.
Her brother is Michael Sheen (Angie) of Salt Lake City, UT. Her sisters are Amber Westmoreland (Quinn) of Spring Creek, NV, Amorie Pickett (Ryan) of Roy, UT and Kara Sheen of Layton, UT. She has two foster sisters, Penny Stevenson, living in Dubai and Kimberley Wilkins (Chris) of Battle Mountain, NV. Her grandfather, Bill Sheen lives in Elko, NV.
She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
Hallie never married and did not have children, but loved her nieces and nephews and the children of her friends — who also loved her.
She graduated from Lowry High School and attended some college at UNR, Truckee Meadows and Great Basin College.
She worked in radio in both Winnemucca and Reno. She worked for a number of years at Wells Fargo Bank in Winnemucca
She had a smile that could light a room; she cared so much about others. She took in stray animals and many people who needed a friend.
She loved her friends, her family and her animals. She enjoyed boating, wakeboarding and snowboarding, watching and quoting from movies, listening to and collecting music. She was good at studying. She wanted to be an OB nurse and was hoping to start school again soon.
She is preceded in death by her grandmothers Penny Sheen and Fern Davis, grandfather Dan Davis, and niece Ridley Pickett.
Her funeral service will be held Thurs. Jan. 28, 2016 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints at 111 McArthur St (across from Sonoma Heights School). in Winnemucca. Visitation with family and friends from 9-10:30 at the church, the funeral service will begin at 11:00. Interment will be at the Winnemucca, Cemetery.
