Clara Jo Doss, age 83, passed away January 14, 2016 in her sleep, in Alturas, CA.
She was born on Nov. 15, 1932 in Lockesburg, AR to Oliver and Ruby Mae Harder. She worked at the California Market for many years where she made a lot of friends in the community until she retired.
She married Mickey Doss in 1973 and shared a long and happy marriage with lots of dogs and cats saved by Mickey when he worked for the county of Modoc.
She was survived by her brother Jim of Euless, TX; her son Virgil Dean Cross of Crossett, AR; her two daughters Joyce Steward-Cross of Winnemucca, NV and Deborah Bailey of Tule Lake, CA; five grandsons, Michael Scott Steward, Marc Jon Steward, Kale Baley, Brice Hagge, and Steven Cross; two granddaughters Misty Cross and Francheska Baley; stepdaughter Nancy (Willie) Hagge.
