Obituary: Cecelia McLean

Cecelia McLean, 72, passed away on January 6, 2016, due to complications of her illness.

She is survived by her beloved husband Douglas “Pops” McLean, son David and (Valdine) McLean, grandchildren Bridgett and Randolph McLean.

She grew up in Doncaster, England and served for the British Royal Air force as a ground to air radio operator, where she met and fell in love with Pops.

They have called many places home as they have moved from one military base to another following the career path of Pops before settling down in Lovelock to enjoy retirement with the grandchildren.

She was an avid fan of the Mustangs, enjoying the athletes compete, whether in Football, Basketball, Volleyball, or Track.

She has been an active member of the Lions Club in England and a volunteer whenever her health allowed her.

She is a generous soul comforting many with her laughter and small jokes.

Her family is comforted in knowing that she is now with our heavenly father.

A memorial service for her interment was held at the Northern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Fernley on Friday, January 15, 2016.
