Lady Longhorns split games on the road

The Battle Mountain High School junior varsity girls basketball team hit the road last weekend for two games and came away with a split. The Lady Longhorns were in Lovelock on Saturday to take on rival Pershing County.

The Lady Longhorns fell behind early and suffered a 46-27 loss to the Lady Mustangs.

Drue Domagala led Battle Mountain with nine points at Sarah Berumen seven rebounds and eight steals

Battle Mountain made the short trip to Silver Springs on Saturday and came away with a 30-20 win over Silver Stage.

Jade Smith led the way with 11 points, seven rebounds, three assists and two rebounds. Domagala had six points, six rebounds and three steals.

Battle Mountain hosted the Elko freshmen on Tuesday and results were not available at press time. The Lady Longhorns host Incline on Saturday at 11 a.m.
