Obituary: Larry Judd

On December 29, 2015 Larry passed away suddenly in his sleep. He was 66 years old.

While we are still in shock from his unexpected death it helps us if we remember the life of the beautiful father and grandfather we lost.

Larry moved to Winnemucca in 1989 relocating his family from Utah to work in the mining industry. After over a decade in mining Larry went on to start his business Judd’s Specialty Services which he owned and operated until his death.

He loved the outdoors and was an avid Geocacher amassing over 10,000 caches in several countries over the past 10 years.

Most people will remember Larry for his quick wit, willingness to help anyone in need, and staunch political beliefs. Larry was also very active in the LDS church.

He was an amazing Dad and loving Grandpa who was so proud of all of his grandchildren who will always remember the times they spent with “Poshie.” He is survived by his wife Pam, daughters: Shanna (Damon) Dangel, Shelley (Randy) Owen, and Kristin (Max) Lujan, grandchildren: Chelsea (Robert) Lujan, Nick Lujan, McKenna Owen, Madyson Lujan, Trevor Dangel, Lucy Dangel and Jackson Owen.

We are saddened that you couldn’t stay with us longer, though you are gone you will never be forgotten and we will love and miss you every day. At his request there will be no public memorial.
