Gloria Candida Tomasini passed away December 17, 2015. She was born August 31, 1931, the first of six children born to Marie and Justo Zabala in Winnemucca, Nevada.
She married Don Westmoreland and had four children: Dawn, Alan, Gary and Larry.
She married George Tomasini in 1970 and lived in Petaluuma, California. They traveled extensively. George preceded Gloria in death in 2005. She returned to Nevada in 2011.
She was known as Glo, Sis, Mom, Gigi, Cubby and was loved by so many.
Gloria enjoyed cooking, gardening, reading, crafts, her friends and family. She was quiet, patient, caring and strong. We remember her as a witty, fun, courageous, gracious woman who loved life.
She is survived by her sister, Rita (Harold) Chapin, brother Ray (Bonnie) Zabala and Sara (Roger) Ghrist of Elko, NV. Children, daughter Dawn and sons: Alan (Deb) and Larry (Janell) Westmoreland, and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
She has 3 grandchildren; Angela, Alicia and Travis and great grandson, Landon Westmoreland.
She was the best and we will miss her so much.
A celebration of life for Gloria will be held February 13, 2016 at the Winnemucca Convention Center from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm.
