Boyce Leonard Cook passed away at his home in Winnemucca, Nevada on February 20th, 2016 at the age of 86.
Boyce was born December 6th, 1929 in Round Mountain, Nevada to Florence and A.T. Cook. Boyce worked many years in mineral exploration and as a landman in Colorado, New Mexico, and Nevada. He was a strong, confident, optimistic man, and a Great American, who charmed everyone he met. He enjoyed reading, especially the history of the American West. He was a passionate lover of animals, a great outdoorsman and an accomplished world traveler. Boyce is survived by his sister, Mary Helmhout, his daughter, Belinda, Morrigna, his son, Leonard (Michelle) Cook, his daughter, Carelon (David) Rowe; and his granddaughters Sara Romero, Jessica Smith (Chad), and Kate Rowe; and many other loving nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife and soul mate, Margaret; his parents, brothers, a son and granddaughter. Graveside services will be held in Buena Vista, Colorado.
