Humboldt County Pets at the Pound

The following animals were recently picked up by animal control. More information on impounded dogs at the Sage Heights shelter is available by calling the shelter at (775) 623-6403 or Sheriff’s Dispatch at (775) 623-6429 and leaving a message, 24 hours a day. When calling, be prepared to provide the dog’s description, license number and general area in which it was lost.



Feb. 16

A male yellow Lab mix was picked up on Mcrae.

Feb. 17

A male white Bulldog mix was picked up at Grass Valley School. *Reclaimed

A male black Pitbull mix was picked up on W. McArthur. *Reclaimed

A female gray Pitbull mix was picked up on N. Bridge St.



Feb. 18

A male white Poodle was picked up on E. 4th St. *Reclaimed

A male white Husky mix was picked up on Kittyhawk. *Reclaimed

Feb. 19

A female tri colored English Bulldog was taken to shelter. *Reclaimed



Feb. 20

A female blonde and white Lab/Pit mix was picked up at Pedroli Ranch. *Reclaimed

A female red and white Heeler mix was picked up at Pedroli Ranch. *Reclaimed

A male white and brindle Pitbull was picked up on W. 2nd St.



Feb. 22

A male black and white Border Collie mix was picked up on E. Thomas Canyon.

A white Pomeranian mix was picked up on W. Winnemucca Blvd.

A male brown and white Pitbull was surrendered to shelter.

Licensing is a city and county ordinance. Please license your dog. This will help us get him back to you should he become lost.
